I think that the thing some people nominally on the left find annoying about Shaun is that he won't let them just like Joe Biden. A bunch of libs got mad at him for criticizing Biden on Twitter.

He's annoying because he says things they don't like to hear, not because he's wrong or has a wacky voice/presentation style.
