We are living through a strange time but I assume as time goes on - things will get weirder in ways we can't imagine right now.

      ---

It's 2023 and Israel is in the midst of yet another war. To use an anchorman phrase Israel's actions "destabilize the region". Military actions and reactions could ultimately spin out of control and lead to World War III. The US has 10,000s of nuclear missiles. The size of Israel's arsenal is unknown but it's probably in the 100s.

The citizens of the future use pocket-sized devices to communicate in real time over a worldwide network. To a global audience - the State of Israel tried and failed to make fun of a world famous Swedish teenager. She is a much-loved and much-hated for her efforts against to protest dangerous increases in global temperature due to the burning of fossil fuels. The actions of man threaten civilization. Will it continue?

      ---

Why didn't Philip K. Dick write about this in the 1970s?

even accepting this bullshit premise, hamas wins lol. These are bespoke, hand crafted rockets using upcycled materials.
What's the running costs on an F-16 vs a paraglider anyway

      an F-16 vs a paraglider

The problem with the US investing in paraglider tech is that it's hard to justify why the program costs ~$2,000,000,000,000 yet there are still problems. How do you explain to an angry public the "Goldilocks Zone" phenomenon whereby the heavily overburdened "pig with wings" paragliders crash catastrophically if the wind is just a little too weak or just a little too strong.

She's consistently the most based celebrity activist on the global stage. (Not sure what else to label her as she isn't a celebrity who happens to be an activist but rather an activist who became famous).

Oh yeah, can't believe I forgot about her. Exactly for the reason you imply here- from magazine covers to zero coverage overnight.

I am convinced Socialism is the only answer and I urge all comrades to take this struggle to a victorious conclusion. Only this will free us from the chains of bigotry and exploitation

She’s alright. She’s a performative libs with opinions you expect from a lib. But she also makes conservatives go into a heart attack inducing rage because they can’t beat her for being a child and talking back to the mature adults

I made this comment this just a few minutes ago - https://hexbear.net/comment/4133021. I'm very curious what he has to say about Israel going forward.

Unless we go back to throwing rocks at each other

People talk about soldiers being brave. But it's something else for a teenager to throw rocks at an occupying force of guys with assault rifles who have in effect a license to kill and who in an instant can call in the equivalent of a national guard to help them to brutally "enforce order".

I never have had nor will I have have the - cough - stones for that.
