I work for my county in the election department. I wanna quit so I dont get shot by methhead trumpers. How can it be done?

    Every time I got unemployment in this state, it was because the business I worked for shuttered. I do know someone who quit his call center job, then applied for unemployment. He told the EDD agent that panic attacks and anxiety made it impossible for him to do his job, and he was approved for it. Wish I could be more helpful, but in my experience the unemployment system in this state is capricious and very opaque

      agreed, it took me months and an assist from my assemblyman's office to actually get my unemployment $ in hand. i wouldn't feel comfortable counting on it

        But please don't read this and become discouraged. I feel that they relaxed the restrictions on getting unemployment since the pandemic started. If you have enough money saved to support yourself without working for a few months, it could absolutely be worth trying.

      Nope. I actually have another job lined up. Full time purchasing, 401k, health insurance. Doesn't start for another month because covid reasons. I just dont wanna butt fuck my savings account for a month
