There are three little dots to the right side of the title. Click on them and there are several options, one of them is "not interested." I discovered this in my despair at seeing the absolute shit YouTube was showing me, and it worked for me at least.
I've had some success with clicking "not interested" when the algorithm has suggested terrible things to me. Best of luck.
