    literally everybody is an authoritarian of some flavor, "libertarians" just think that the moneyed should be the only authority

      "Authoritarianism" is when your political system is underdeveloped and the military has a lot of political power, when your country's poverty leads to violence in the political sphere, or when your government is centralized and therefore evil.

      Of course, this only applies to second and third world countries. Western "democracies" are allowed to use military and police force and mass surveillance and shit, and that's not authoritarianism because those countries' wealth provides enough stability for the establishment of robust civil liberties. Also, oppression by corporations is not authoritarian because they are not the government.
