      i like how they made it on mobile where you have to go out of your way to read them. also even on desktop a lot of the times, for me anyway, they dont load in unless you scroll way down to see them lol

    Youtube has an incredible amount of wasted potential cause Google is so fucking lazy about making things actually good and integrated. The absolute king of "good enough". Gmail and maps are two things they actually do well, but there are still some real flaws in those too.

    It's like FB in that way - if it encouraged proper discussion it might make good takes stand out. This way you just have to be the first reactionary asshole in line

    I used to have an extension that would load up comments from Reddit threads of Youtube videos instead and that was nice.

    That's usually what I do to see actual discussion now, just copy the code of the youtube video and search all of reddit by URL
