        Stalin's stance towards gays was pretty fucked up and deserves to be condemned, but given that in America they scooped out half your brain if you were gay, or in britain, where they pumped you full of chemicals and drove you to suicide, that Article 121 wasn't that different from other countries, and was somewhat kinder. This still is a pretty low bar though
