Which is hilarious considering MREs, the thing literally invented for troops in the field, really aren't bad at all. You'd think they would just give them that instead but no
They do everything they can to ensure that the troops never have to resort to eating MREs, and then when the MREs get replaced with a new batch you have to take the old ones out and slash them open before throwing them in the dumpster so that they can't be given away or sold off.
