    Also I think lots of Americans get into reactionary politics because paying taxes is a traumatic experience rather than a community responsibility.

    I made $1.54 trading stocks last year and turbotax locked me out of completing my return until I payed them $70 for their upgraded version that handles 1099 forms.

      I paid the $70 and had to manually enter my 1099 forms because I made over 1500 trades.

      Took me 3 hours.

    Wait until you folks hear about the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, who have been saying that American accounting standards will converge with international standards "soon" since literally 1930

      I do credit karma. Free for even weird situations. Though sometimes less intuitive than others
