To answer your question, NO, they are not. Stupid and completely lacking in historical, economic, or political nuance? Yes, but that’s a separate problem and not “conservative” in the slightest.
Nuance means that The Adults In The Room that Make The Hard Decisions and Get Shit Done are nuanced when they enjoy atrocities because that's where the treats come from, but enemy teams are evil and subhuman because they interfere with treat distribution.
