The west is doomed because we don’t know how to do anything for ourselves. Smdh can’t even mount a 50 cal on the back of a Toyota hilux without needing a YouTube tutorial
Depends what gun you want to mount on it. Its both hard and insanely expensive to get real machine guns in the US. And you're never going to get the AA guns you see mounted on trucks in other countries. However if you do get a machine gun you'll want to re-enforce the frame around the back of the cab. Make sure it's welded solidly into the frame of the truck. If its hollow you will likely need to replace it entirely. You then weld a mounting point to the top of the frame, they vary by type of gun and such but it shouldn't be too hard to find out what you need.
Also you'll likely need an aftermarket suspension system to absorb all of the recoil.
But really your best bet in the US is just to turn the truck into an off road monster and get a few friends with ARs to sit in the back.
get yourself a cheap angle grinder and a wire wheel and it'll come right off. You can get the grinder for under $20 at harbor freight. They've also got paint/surface coating removal wheels for cordless drills if you've got one for under ten at the bigger hardware stores.
