I'm proposing On Authority because it is incredibly concise and dispelled a lot of my second-guessing of the structure of organisations and the nature of authority.
I think it's pretty timeless and unimpeachable. I could be swayed on whether it's good for a reading group, but it's one of my personal favourites.
did we already do On Contradiction? if so, wanna catch up on that thread.
And also (splitting comment to have one suggestion per comment)
- On the abolition of all political parties Simone Weil, https://b-ok.asia/book/2456953/ec7bc3 the text itself is quite short and I remember it being a very interesting read (and Weil is a very interesting person anyway)
Umberto Eco's "Ur-Fascism." Very short but from experience in my own book club, very rich material for discussion.
I propose the following (will edit if more occur to me):
- Notes from the Underground Part I, chapter I, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, it's a novel, but I think the very first chapter is already quite something to think about
One more:
- The Three Sources and Three Component Parts of Marxism, Lenin, https://www.marxists.org/archive/lenin/works/1913/mar/x01.htm it's short, it's good.
How about the Preface to a Contribution to the Critique of Political Economy by Marx, a pretty classic short text

I forgot to check my alerts sorry, anyway could you create the post? I'll pin it. Thanks !
