Back when I was a big fat boy (lost 80 pounds in like 3 months and then plateau'd woohoo) I would eat a muffin and an omelet for breakfast before realizing that the muffin alone was like 700 calories. Legit just morning cake.

Use real units lol. Anyway good for you Mr. Cat. 3 months is very fast. You're like on pace of 100g per week for the year. Plateauing is to be expected. I'd maintain for half a year and then see. Are you doing strength training?
Thank you for your encouragement, but this was years ago. I'm still the same weight as I was when I first plateud (plateued?) which is about 9kg overweight (I'm 1.85m tall and 81.8kg). I know I could get it down if I made significant lifestyle changes again, but going from sedentary snacker to vegan fitness guru is, at least for me, much harder than cutting out all sweetened beverages.
I don't really think it would require drastic changes to lose those last 9kg. Like instead of sedentary snacker you just need to be snacker who goes to the gym 3 times a week for like 45 to 60 minutes. I was against it for a long time but lifting heavy stuff and putting them down can be fun and rewarding. Building muscle mass consumes a lot of energy and increases your base metabolic rate which helps keep the weight of. I would encourage you to try. You only need to really do bench presses, squats and deadlifts. Seeing your weights go up gets you hooked like an RPG.
I've been telling myself to go to the gym for a while, and even bought a gym membership but the second I walked into the locker room I was overwhelmed with flashbacks to high school and quickly left. Guess I just gotta stop making excuses like "oh I don't have a way to get there" and bug my roommate to give me a ride when he's going. Gotta love medical conditions preventing you from driving in a place with god awful public transit!

Don't feel intimidated. In my experience regular gym people are super courteous to everyone who puts the required effort regardless of level. Everyone started not knowing what they were doing. Just make sure to follow established etiquette.

While I agree with the overall sentiment here, it is just hilarious that you don't think this is a drastic change for most people.
If I say to go once weekly it wouldn't be. For someone who calls themselves sedentary you can't tell me that's drastic.
