The Selma to Montgomery march was part of a series of civil rights protests that occurred in 1965 in Alabama, a Southern state with deeply entrenched racist policies. In March of that year, in an effort to register Black voters in the South, protesters marching the 54-mile route from Selma to the state capital of Montgomery were confronted with deadly violence from local authorities and white vigilante groups. As the world watched, the protesters—under the protection of federalized National Guard troops—finally achieved their goal, walking around the clock for three days to reach Montgomery, Alabama. The historic march, and Martin Luther King, Jr.’s participation in it, raised awareness of the difficulties faced by Black voters, and the need for a national Voting Rights Act. :amerikkka:

Hell Yeah Motherfucker :deng-cowboy: what are you guys up to tonight? (or morning :good-morning:)
The music is published with my name, i think you can see the problem.
Besides, if I could share, i’d want people to find us. A real conundrum 👉🏼👈🏼
My personal thoughts there is to think. Would anyone really want to doxx you and if so is there really anything they can do to you? For me, any government agency or whatever really wouldn't get any new info from linking me to this account, my job is under no threat at all from internet weirdos cause I'm a cook, any friends that someone can socially engineer away from me via internet history was either shitty or I would deserve it and if someone wants to come at physically they would be risking severe reprisal, not a tough guy personally but I am likeable and have a lot of friends that are okay with jail.
Perhaps it’s paranoia?
Thinking on the Beatnik thing, they could construct a barely passable simulacrum of what kind of behaviors I could have, coupled with things I talked about once. i’ve already pushed it a few times here.
Also reciprocity, I could say something that gets linked back to this acct, back to hexbear. It’s as much for all of you, as it is for me.
That's why I was saying think of your personal situation and what the consequences really could even be. In the case of Beatnik the consequences are a lot different, being a site admin makes you a clear target and we as an audience were of course going to have to not just dismiss it as crap, that's a vulnerability that was specific to that person. Playing it as safe as possible is of course always the best bet but it is good to consider your particular situation. Hell, if you have little risk of consequence from being doxxed it might even be better to be less careful to give potential threats an easy bread trail that leads nowhere. I'd never blame anyone for erring on the side of privacy though, it is the best default.

That feels dirty just to make people listen to my band.
Why do I have to have such a sensitive conscious?
You're not making us. I asked you for a way to hear it, in all honesty there's a pretty small chance it'll even be to my taste but you did a thing that you're proud of and it must be online for some people to hear it right? Obviously don't expect everyone to be into it but please don't be afraid to share your art.
:3
I'll go first! Jere's the last thing I did that's online, there's next to no reason anyone should like it. I also did the art which I am really proud of tho.

you got me missing basement shows now.
Awwwww now I am too.
I added it to the top post.
I don't know what that means.
I decided why the fuck not, link to the music is on the top post of the thread
I'm listening now. Just started on the first track but since most random music people post on the internet isn't usually my jam.. I AM SURPRISED PLEASANTLY. I love me some screamo and this is legit good quality stuff
Hell yeah, thanks!
Is the name a Discordian reference or just a Greek mythology one? Also are you planning on getting this pressed or just digital? I would legit but this record and if you do want to get a record out I might actually be able to help you get a run out.
Couldnt tell you much about the name, i joined Pique at the start of last year, and Apostles of Eris is an offshoot of MRTEX if I’m not mistaken.
Oh It's a split. I'm crust oriented more than anything but in the mid 90s there was a time where screamo was actually mostly in the crust as far as shows go and there were a lot of crusty screamo bands ala His Hero is Gone. My 43 year old Stenchcore as fuck roomate can tell ya and there's some sick bands from that time as well. Check out .NEMA from Montreal sometime.
If I can throw one criticism down I'm noticing as info through this, a few of the slow tech bits are a little samey Edit: wait are both bands on the split here? Cause that may be the other band having a couple similar bits.
Gotcha
It may feel dirty, cause you're thinking of how pushy music can be at times, but you're sharing your art, probably won't like, make a ton of money of us haha. Don't feel guilty! We share things with our fellow humans all the time
Alright, guess i better start thinking of funny alts in the meantime.
