I feel like spending 8 hours deconstructing someone's argument (which already drags for 2 hours) is time that could be better spent playing other games you actually enjoy.

So wait, judging by the people saying MATN is cool also, both the guys in this video exchange are cool and ok and this fash is just gloming on to one of them that matches his video game taste lmao? Weird.

Also this reminds me of when a friend linked a response to Hbomb's DS2 video and I checked the whole page first and saw sus shit there. Like I know that video has mixed opinions even from Hbomb but I wish someone not weird would respond to it. Im sure it exists, maybe not as a direct response to Hbomb though. Anyway just ranting about a thing in my brain.

Ah ok. Well I'm subbed to the other guy on Youtube already and I assume there's a reason for that, and from a quick scan he seems like a normal fellow. No reactionairy clickbait. Just a guy who's really obsessive (and probably ND) about Fallout. So it does seem like a chud just glommed on to him for agreeing with an opinion that many leftists hold.

Doesn't seem like either of these guys are cryptofash, I'm actually subbed to both of them though I havent actually watched their videos. I assume I had both of them recommended to me by someone I trust not to lead me into reactionariy fields at one point. And looking over their shit, yeah the respondent (Creatosis or however its spelled) is probably too long winded but hey i like long videos and I'm autistic so I can understand being long winded lol. As far as I can tell both of these creators are cool normal folks with differing opinions. A fash just glommed on to the one that agreed with him about Fallout 3 lol.

Also worth noting that "Fallout 3 Bad" is a pretty common opinion among leftists in my experience so its hardly a bellweather.

"Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past."

Exactly what sort of pernicious lies would he even be telling about Fallout 3? That he liked it? Dude shoe horned in a goebbels quote just to slander jews. Or am I missing the point too?

no no no he hates Jews and thinks that Jews want to encourage the playing of videogames he dislikes.

This is as rational as you can expect antisemites to be. I've even heard "Jews kicked me off the bus for being drunk and trying to fight the driver"

if an antisemite stubs their toe upon a rock they will say "what Jew put that rock where my toe would strike it"

Interesting linguistic history: the strategy was to label everything that was bad as Jewish. It wasn't the other way around where everything a Jewish person does is wrong/bad. If chickens didn't lay enough eggs then it was considered Jewish (or Non-aryan). So any piece of literature is immediate nonsense because the words just don't have the same meaning. It was an attempt at two-value orientation, so it would just evoke a good/bad or right/wrong response without any further thought. You still see this today with stuff like how American politicians talk about China, same sex marriage, immigration from mexico, etc.

I love Jon/MATN so much, watching his Fallout 4 YOLO as I do my own survival mode playthrough. This is a very icky juxtaposition

Once I got used to the routine of packing for a mission, balancing supplies vs scavenging space, deciding on every round of ammo and ounce of weight, making tactical plans to clear locations...I found I just couldnt go back to playng regular haha cool robot mode.

I liked that lack of fast travel meant that bringing power armor up to where I would need it became it's own mission, like I was transporting a tank to the front. Just not being able to teleport, quicksave, or carry 400 pounds and having to get around and survive like a real person made me care so much more about the playthrough, and made every sucessful mission and built up settlement feel more real and hard-earned.

It certainly makes the shooting, looting, and building elements more harmonious.

No fast travel is a bit too tedious for me though. I got a mod the enables fast travel between settlements connected by a supply line which encourages strategic settlement use even further
