There are lots of wrong things with this country, where do I even fucking start, but this really bothers me. I've been a bit involved with a little cool local BLM-affiliated organisation that grew a lot during the Floyd protests. They aren't exactly Maoists, but their politics were about Bernie level which is definitely good enough in this god forsaken country. Guess what? The white founder and de facto leader has suddenly erased every anti-police post from the Instagram feed and posted a Kamala dance celebration instead. Literally everything in this fucking coutnry is a grift, I googled an old BLM activist "friend" who got grifting work in an ultra lib congress campaign, no BLM posting anymore as well for them. This endless grifting culture is genuinely making me crazy, how the fuck do we deal with this? Look at the Bernie campaign, I'd say that more than 75% of the leading campaign figures have exposed their ultra grifting.

Libs will co opt and conform every social movement, it's an American tradition, they even tried to do it with anti apartheid struggle ffs, remember Biden saying he met Nelson Mandela? It's extremely disrespectful to those actually suffering and downright betrayal.

    Compromise, conformity
    Assimilation, submission
    Ignorance, hypocrisy
    Brutality, the elite
All of which are American dreams

Yeah, this is why the (decades long) project of building union power is so important. Union dues are what pays for actual leftist activists in the countries that have a developed left tradition--without them the incentive to go lib is just too big.

    Cheer up, sport!

I doubt the people that'll get evicted and have to live out of their cars next year will be grifters. :D

I think what bothers me the most is that the hopes and efforts of so many people that "sleep in cars" are being wasted by ultra lib grifter organizers. There so much potential that is being thrown away by those parasites, who co-opt and suck away the enthusiasm in every good thing

I think what you're describing is 100% intentional. The last thing the people on the top want is for the general population to realize that if they work together they can topple the ruling class.

It's fucking exhausting man. IMO, it's why so many leftists seemed obsessed with history and past socialist projects like the GDR and USSR. Because it lets you think for one shining goddamn second, we built something. And it was strong and powerful and had negatives, but it never got the chance to iron out those issues because it got backstabbed and crushed.

I don't think I'll ever give up communism because I'll never stop believing something better is possible, but it's exhausting to never feel like you're winning.

Oh we will. That's why I'm a communist, because I truly believe a better future is possible. I saw one of my neoliberal friends retweet something that was like "capitalism with strong regulation and redistributive taxes is the greatest system humans have ever created" and it's like damn you really think utopia was the 50s huh.

I'm not talking specifically about political parties necessarily, but any sort of "professional revolutionary" type organization like you're talking about is going to be open to infiltrators that aim to hurt the direction of the group.

Among the two most common types of orgs, i.e. broad based highly committed ones around a central set of ideals vs single issue ones. The former would likely have FBI infiltrators if it got big enough, and the later tries to spread so fast that when the issue is no longer a hot topic, different chapters of the group no longer have a singular purpose, and you end up only needing like 10 people to completely take it over.

Never forget the turncoats in your life. Honestly, keep tabs on them, watch their moves. Document this shit. Never forget those who got paid to leave you behind.

IDK if it's fair to get mad at the friend, if their job relies on being able to pass as a lib then..eh gotta eat. I live in the south and I've had to pretend to be conservative just to even keep my damn job before, lost it too immediately after by boss found out I wasn't a trump fan.

The Copmala guy tho needs to be forcibly evicted
