        One of the rare absolute fuck-ups on the part of the Onion. I'm sure it seemed silly and harmless and like good satire at the time (because who the fuck would ever expect someone that ancient to actually run for president 8+ years later), but in retrospect it definitely helped launder his image.

      Civility of words has always meant more to liberals then civility of action

      Obama admin was the one that formalized calling all dead 'military aged males' enemy combatants when they were killed in an operating area

      But he was 'polite' and 'funny' so he's the best president

    How credible is that Reagan anecdote? The U.S. stance on Israel has shifted considerably rightward, but that reads as pretty flattering and he's the #1 most mythologied modern president.

      I don't know, but the US did fund and support the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon, to the point of sending in US ground troops.
