There's some serious mincing of language between "humanitarian pause" and "ceasefire". These have different meanings and Biden can't seem to tell the difference.
Oh, he probably knows the actual difference
But this sort of mealy-mouthed dithering is intentional
This way, when nothing changes, he can shrug his shoulders and say "Well, we tried for a ceasefire" and the braying jackasses at his heels can cry "Best president ever, look at how hard he tries!"
I doubt he knows what year it is.
Up until this, all calls for a ceasefire were shouted down as asking Israel to surrender. I think they're ass covering by saying "ceasefire and pause are the same" because it definitely contradicts their position from literally the previous day. I don't think this is 4D chess. It's Biden flubbing his talking points.
His press dept will probably walk it back, just like they do any time he says something halfway decent or accidently too hawkish.
The President's stutter prevented him from saying "Death to those Brown Devils!" Which is the official stance of the White House
“I’m the guy that convinced Bibi to call for a cease-fire to let the [hostages] out. I’m the guy that talked to Sisi to convince him to open the door,” Biden said
You're also the guy that continues to fund, arm, and defend the guys doing the genocide.
"Kids these days act like they should get a trophy for doing even less than the bare minimum!"
someone is crafting a custom hell for me where Bernie winds up to the right of Biden on Palestine
