    shit by edward yang, wong kar-wai, hou hsiao-hsien, tsai ming-liang, jia zhangke, john woo; Long Day’s Journey Into Night (though not sure it's plausible to find/view this in 3d).

        ah. okay, well, john woo's/zhangke's stuff should be pretty approachable/more immediately engaging. some of the other guys are making more ponderous/"artsy" stuff; ymmv.

        Chungking Express might be a good entry point if you have yet to see it -- i think that's pretty universally enjoyed, and should be easy to find/download.
