The System Shock 1 remaster which was originally going to be released Decembe 2017.
And, apparently, System Shock 3 may now be dead. It was going to be developed by Warren Spector, who made the original Deus Ex.
I just linked to the playable demo on steam so I'm aware of the demo and aware they are developing it. I get the monthly emails. It has slowed to a snail's crawl and now does not have a timeline or a double barreled development effort on track to be done any time soon. The shifting between engines is the same thing that happened to Duke Nukem Forever when it got stuck in development hell.
It was never in development, but now that Ono is out of Capcom, a new Darkstalkers will probably never be made
Routine.
Which ultimately was supplanted by like three other similar concept games like Alien Isolation, Soma, and Prey, making the hypothetical experience of the game largely redundant at this point.
Halo infinite! HAHA, jk jk it'll be release but will probably suck.
I am worried about Metroid Prime 4 though, nintendo and retro studios have really dropped the ball here :(
There’s this indie cyberpunk game called The Nothing. No updates on the site in a long time and all the social media pages were taken down.
Most of the games I was hyped for eventually came out. Don't like seeing Halo Infinite pushed back but it's not like they're going to scrap it. I guess a NEW Pikmin game would be up there. It's fun having the same 3 rereleased every few years but I want a new one damn it. Pikmin is fun as hell.
I think the games that are most likely to never come out are the ones from indie developers, crowdfunded etc.
That makes sense. I don't keep as close an eye on gaming news these days so I really only hear about good indie games after they've gained some popularity. Is there anything on the horizon you're excited for? Preferably something you think actually will come out haha.
Dominus Galaxia.
Super cool free demo on Steam, apparently linked to a kickstarter I wasn't aware of at the time, no news for half a year.
I originally bought into the Star Citizen hype when I was younger. Now its the biggest scam in gaming history...
