Libs are capitalists to their bones, their ideology is the exact same as conservatives but replace race hierarchy with meritocratic hierarchy. Both require an underclass to subjugate.
Meritocracy is just social darwinism. While it may not be racialized like the nazi version, it still accepts the more foundational claim that people who lose the competition for resources don't deserve a decent life.
Good idea. They should start with a plan to nationalize the banks, utilities, and natural resources. With state control of the banking sector, the government would get interest revenue from business loans, which they would use to make key strategic investments and infrastructure projects, designed at growing the productive sectors of the economy. They could do this according to five-year plans and make an economy that's nearly immune to the boom-and-bust cycle that's been so damaging. IDK just spitballing here
The boom&bust is all part of the model for monopolization. It's not damaging to the powers that be.
