the Alice's Restaurant movie. the acting, the writing, the plot, the poor taste of some of the scenes. it was filmed like a year after woody Guthrie died and they had arlo do scenes with an actor playing his actual father on his deathbed! obviously making an 18 minute song into a full length movie will require some additions but all the new stuff is absurd! so many tiny things wrong with that movie have stuck with me years later and i hate it so so so much. luckily it hasn't ruined my enjoyment of the song or Arlo Guthrie's other stuff but that movie is unforgivable
