  • I guess what I'm trying to express is that the left dosent exist, I'm positing that we don't exist because the last 70 ish years we have spent not addressing why we haven't been able to form since the cp usa days, im just gonna link what I listend to and have you comment on it as I'm at work for the next 9 hours, I don't appreciate my point being called a fascist talking point kinda hurt my feelings ngl Episode is no royal road 2 I just think he makes good points idk what to say other then just listen to it. Another two good ones are the left in purgatory part one and two. https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy5idXp6c3Byb3V0LmNvbS8xNzc3NTY1LnJzcw/episode/QnV6enNwcm91dC0xMjQ0NDIzNg?ep=14

  • Not with out rebuilding every major city built in the last 70 years, some city's like Chicago New York, ect this can be done with minimum relative pain, but if we look at L.A. the great Satan of bad city design the original sin for America. La would be a nightmare to fix but it still could be done but it would require a massive contraction of the city into a more dense downtown area that gets rebuilt out while displacing everyone in the suburbs into those newly built 3-5 story down town area think Spanish or soviet micro districts.

One solution I though of is taking LA's very large Bulvards and adding 24/7 light tram access down the center then then create flex pedestrian delivery vechial only lanes over the current car lanes on both sides basicly make it so you cant drop off inside of the districts unless your a delivery van or truck or emergency vehicle.

Would have to rezone to punish car ownership which ok yeah I can get behind that.

  • Another way to look at facsim, is behind every fascism is a failed revolution the energy has to go somewhere and when the left fails it goes to the right. This definition helps correct I think miss understandings the modern left has with fascism, where everything is I don't like is fascism. It also if you read between the line there it means their isn't fascism because there is no revolutionary situation, their cant be a revolution to fail. Why isn't their a revolutionary situation? I'll leave that one up to you :thonk: hint it has to do with the left not being connected to the working class.

When I meet people like this, because I do the same thing I attempt 🙃 to move the needle, I become a uniroinic posadist by the end of the conversation :posadist-nuke: Won't listen to reason, ignore facts of material reality, scoff at emotional appeals, yep its American liberal time.

  • I just came across varn and holy shit the man is well read, hes got very very well informed opinions he calls it as it is, I know for a good fact Christman listens to him, I think there are things he says that might be hard for some people on the left to hear but are true. He says in the episode no royal road, that the left right now is basically replaying the sectrain struggles of the 20th century for want of not wanting to look the failure of the new left in the 1960's and 1970's, he says more intresting stuff about how the reactionary movement is currently also fucked but in similar and different ways to the left. even if you disagree with the man please I think we need to consider some of the things he says, he has relighted a fire under my ass to understand our failures.

  • Thats a good question, probley yes only because NK has an state ideology around being self reliant, also its hard to say as econmic data is hard to come by last I checked. Also that grey cloth that you see NK wear is cloth I shit you not made out of rocks its called vinylon. Im not sure if many people wear it outside of official meetings because its not very breathable and can't absorb dye really well but it's very tough and super chemical resistant. :dprk-soldier:

  • From what people like Micheal hudson have said the problem is fundimentaly a management and industrial subsidy problem where policys that benefit U.S. Fire sector are detrimental to manufactureing, so us exports are really niche or understood to be uncompetitive this is due to the drain, workers in the usa have to be payed insane amount of money to inefficiently buy monopolized goods and services fincal capital only maintains industry and redirects most money away from the productive economy investments in favor of speculation. In other words the manufactureing sector is geting blood sucked by the finacal sector so all ot can do it reproduce its self but not expand new means of production, great example of this is lithium mining in the usa. The other issue is not being industrial minded leads to lack of investment in workers. Example would be fincial captial looks at workers like sponges to be squeezed, industrial capital looks at workers like cattle to be taken care of for as cheaply as possible and keep the costs of social reproduction (housing, food, Healthcare, education) cheap as possible to encourage more workers to procreate like cattle.

  • We have been in a transition since the great depression pretty much everything after that has been free-market cope, virtually every country after has had to use various forms socialization including neoliberal poster children like the usa or the uk. The only thing holding this era back is the western world and it insistence in larping that capalitism exists by selectively punishing their working classes with cruel austerity and mulching any developments in former 3rd world nations.

Zombie capitlism with a neoliberal lich phylactory called imperialism. How much longer we stretch on is dependent on how much longer the us can hold together. These days it not looking so hot
