Im in moron land utah, sodium chloride shitty I need to find a good local union to go with because I never did this before and am rightfully scared shitless. That being said in equal measures I'm fired up, and I identified weak points in the business that could cripple it in a strike situation. I have also reached out to many people at my work place who feel similarly. I feel like I'm doing ok but I need guidance.
I will check the reply in the morning
it's more about who will work with you and invest resources. if they leave you with the whole effort of unionization to do yourself, you will fail. if they invest in you, success isn't guaranteed but it's certainly more likely. it's only after you know which unions are willing to commit people and money that you can really assess whether any particular union is "good" or "bad".
good luck comrade! lean on us for as much as we can provide from a world away.
you're probably best to reach out to a union that already represents your industry (whatever that is). If that is the teamsters then yeah go for it.
There's an IWW branch in Salt Lake City, might want to reach out to them for advice http://saltlakecityiww.org/ maybe jump on their discord and ask them too if that's not the area you live in
