It’s just a matter of efficiency, since when bugs are being marketed as a food source it’s usually presented as something to give to the backwards third world starving poors. Basically you get more calories/sq meter out of growing vegetables than from feeding and raising chickens. There’s also a more nebulous moral argument about how raising chickens for food makes them a commodity and open to more abuse, etc.
Basically we’re already overproducing food but a lot of that goes to cows or in the trash instead of to people who need food because muh invisible hand.
I think more effective would just be treating capitalism as something barbaric and backwards that previous generations used to do. Much like how we now view segregation and slavery in the US.
They were in full control of the govt for 2 years, still have majority control, and haven’t even touched Roe v. Wade. Same thing happened in the W and Reagan admins. They know they can’t repeal it at this point without risking some serious economic damage. If they ever do, it’ll be because some true believing kool-aid drinker evangelical fash gets put in charge.
Nah, reading r/politics is self care. Gleeful to see libs thinking they’re watching the American empire crumble before their eyes. (It’s not quite there, yet. But it’s fun to watch them think it is.)
