Mon avis personnel, pour ceux que ça intéresse, est que ces deux instances sont remplies de ce qu'on qualifie ici de rouges-bruns, tankies, ou encore fascistes de gauche.

Ce sont avant tout des autoritaires qui aiment se dire de gauche, mais utilisent les mêmes outils, ont la même vision politique, la même organisation, et ont tendance politiquement et historiquement à s'allier aux fascistes "officiels" dès qu'un mouvement réellement de gauche révolutionnaire émerge.

Je trouvais tolérable de "ne rien faire" tant qu'ils restaient dans leurs coins, mais j'avais un peu oublié qu'un autoritaire reste un autoritaire et que la seule place qu'ils méritent est dans un puits, en n'oubliant pas de frapper les mains qui tentent de sortir avec un gros baton.

Le pipeline d'edgy contrarien c'est donc l'inverse, celui des tankies qui viennent lécher les bottes d'un autoritaire et commettre des génocides, mais cette fois-ci, avec un drapeau rouge. Même attrait pour l'homme fort providentiel, l'élimination d'opposants à la définition aussi floue que variable, aux réponses simples à des problèmes complexes, et un goût prononcé pour les bottes en cuir.

It's been a while that I've read it but iirc that's not what is described in the book due to the difference in intent.

Anticommunism is born from the ruling/fascist adjacent class to misled less politicized people by manufacturing false consciousness. While anticommunism materialistically helps capitalism and fascism, this is not the intent of the anticommunists, while it is the overt goal of the fascists.

A dumbass being anticommunist because of gaslighting is fundamentally different from someone being an actual fascist. The former will still be able to change his mind, the latter won't because it's usually coming from it's material interest.

Saying they are twins is not only a misleading, but it also hides the different mechanisms between anticommunism and fascism.
