It's by far the nicest hand grinder I've ever used. There's a decent range for espresso and it is really easy to adjust your grind, but it definitely takes some dialing in, especially when using a completely manual lever machine. My only real complaint is that the hopper is pretty small, you can only fit about 20g of beans at a time. Some of knock's other grinders fit a lot more, but I was in a bit of a bind when I got it so I went small. I'd totally recommend it.
I've actually never tried Cafe de la Olla! I'll have to give it a shot, seems really cozy especially with all the snow out.
I'm surprisingly disappointed that this thread isn't actually about coffee :> I love the stuff. Anyone else make espresso at home? I have the flair, a bellman stovetop steamer, and the knock aergrind. It's really good for an affordable setup.
Maybe this is a copypasta, but check out Artix- it was a total gamechanger for me, and runit has been lovely.
Look for local roasters in your area that support fair-trade / ethically sourced coffee. I live near Caffe Ibis and they're great, but try to see if you have something in your area.
why does he look like he's made of wax? he's not so much smiling as he is lifting his upper lip and gazing into your soul
