I deleted reddit a while ago, but r/GenZedong was the closest thing to Chapo post-ban. They are extremely sectarian though, but the shitposting is good

    askhistorians has chapo mod energy

a great example of really really strict moderation being good. making a space on fuckin reddit somewhat livable is an accomplishment

AskHistorians is and will remain the only good subreddit.

Sir, this is AskAnthropology erasure (for real though, it's as good as AskHistorian and for much the same reason).

r/ShitLiberalsSay is literally the biggest chapo hangout on the internet, even bigger than the chat

I'll ask here because I'm curious:

A lot of lefty subreddits link to each other in the sidebar, but they seem to avoid r/LateStageCapitalism for some reason in favor of the much less popular r/Capitalism_In_Decay (e.g. r/ShitLiberalsSay with "Capitalism in Decay: New home of Late Stage Capitalism"), despite the sidebar claiming it has "an emphasis on Marxist concepts and analysis and a commitment to antiracism and inclusive feminism."

Was there some drama I missed at some point? Did everyone decide they were a bunch of libs? I usually only ever see them on r/all since I'm not subscribed to them but it feels like there's a story there.

Same thing with r/EnlightenedCentrists over the much more popular r/EnligtenedCentrism.

The more popular subs, as a result of growing popular, got infested with liberals. SLS by its nature and mod team is the only "big" leftist sub remaining to avoid this.

Need someone to draw a picture of a skeleton with a Karl Marx beard riding a motorcycle that I can use to radicalize those MFers

i agree. if you unsub all the defaults and only stick to hobby stuff, its like 99% on topic and rarely do you get any chuds or racists in them.

      a few i sub to are /r/zune, /r/gunpla, /r/diycables, /r/soldering, /r/zerowaste, /r/handstyles, /r/freights, /r/vagabond, /r/birdwatching, /r/campingandhiking, and a few mostly chud/libshit free gunsubs like /r/ak47, /r/comblocmarket, /r/socialistra

and some car ones too. we never got a /c/cars or /c/transportation. i'd love to rap it up with fellow comrades who work in the automotive field

yeah they are pretty cool, i had one in 07, then had the HD in 10. Lost them both, but recently purchased 2 broken ones and got a new hard drive for it and have a functioning one now

its been pretty active recently, there was an article about it from verge i think. the microsoft servers are down for zune so there are a few ways to create a handshake (like an http get basically), and people show off their swag and rare zunes. i swapped my 30gb hdd with a 128gb ssd, its been pretty nice not streaming music and having it a bit tangible. the ipods can take a lot more hdd mods, and they can go over 128gb, where the zune cannot. ipods have a SD card mod that works, so fast cheap memory and rockbox and its a totally differant mp3 player

Certain game-specific subs can be fine, usually smaller or non-competitive games, and also gamedev subs. I still occasionally use the monster hunter and gamedev subs for example

r/NBA is the only good subreddit.

We can't get enough basketball drama, we're all eachother's nephews and nieces, and we all like to watch dudes shoot from deep. Plus, there's literal dunks, which is so much cooler than Twitter dunks.

Oh, and like 95% of the users have class consciousness. If some political or economic shit comes up it's surprisingly left of any other main-ish sub.

I feel like /r/NBA and /r/MLS are the most similar sports subs, despite seeming to have less overlap than one might expect.

The only subs I still go to are:

    r/AcidMarxism

    r/GenZedong

    r/BlackWolfFeed

and I will occasionally lurk on r/LeopardsAteMyFace

r/sigmarxism for leftist tabletop/model hobbyists r/shitliberalssay is fun, especially for how often chuds think it’s a conservative subreddit and get dunked on

I find both /r/communism and /r/communism101 to be completely insufferable and unwelcoming to most new leftists.
