Did he mix up Katyn and Babyn or something?
Even in that case, one would literally have to say to themselves, "I trust Goebbels" to believe the Soviets did Katyn
On May 8, 1943 he wrote down in his diary: ‘Unfortunately German ammunition has been found in the graves of Katyn. The question of how it got there needs clarification’. It is evident that Goebbels immediately started to invent plausible explanations. This is why he wrote: ‘It must be either the ammunition sold by us during the period of our friendly arrangement with the Soviet Russians, or else the Soviets themselves threw it into graves’. 🤔
In one of the mass graves that a Ukranian archeological team excavated, the bullets were like 90% German and stamped with manufacturing dates that would make it almost impossible for the Russians to have deposited there but for some reason nobody arrives at the obvious conclusion that the Nazis killed those people and then lied about it.
Naturally this was semi-suppressed and not covered extensively or at all afaik in the news and didn't change the narrative surrounding the event at all because of the implications
Does anyone know if these documents were ever made public? Not like there's any reason to keep them classified now that Russia is public enemy number one.
"A highly classified dossier containing compromising information about that time we did a mass killing, signed by Stalin? Passed down from leader to leader, just sitting in your office for no reason?"
"Yes!"
"...may I see it?"
"...no"
Yep, documents you're not allowed to see that conveniently gave Russia political expedience at no cost for the "admission" which is contradicted directly by forensic evidence which seemingly no Polish or Ukrainian journalist wants to touch.
On top of that, two police badges were found in the obviously-nazi mass grave which belonged to two Polish officers that we were told were killed in the other supposedly-soviet mass grave. Meaning the Soviet camp was not a death camp because those Polish officers were killed far away somewhere else and not in the Soviet one that we were told
