Not really true, while it is the case that a huge part of the heavy industry remaining in the US is mostly related to weapons and aerospace, the US doesn't have the industrial capacity to sustain endless conventional warfare. It could sustain forever wars against enemies much weaker in the Bush and Obama years, but I'd be surprised if it can keep giving Ukraine + Israel + Taiwan support against real enemies were hot wars to go on for any length of time in each.
It's not a zero sum game. The Military Industrial Complex can build an infinite supply of weapons as long as there are willing buyers.
