There were two “Reigns of Terror,” if we would but remember it and consider it; the one wrought murder in hot passion, the other in heartless cold blood; the one lasted mere months, the other had lasted a thousand years; the one inflicted death upon ten thousand persons, the other upon a hundred millions; but our shudders are all for the “horrors” of the minor Terror, the momentary Terror, so to speak; whereas, what is the horror of swift death by the axe, compared with lifelong death from hunger, cold, insult, cruelty, and heart-break? What is swift death by lightning compared with death by slow fire at the stake? A city cemetery could contain the coffins filled by that brief Terror which we have all been so diligently taught to shiver at and mourn over; but all France could hardly contain the coffins filled by that older and real Terror—that unspeakably bitter and awful Terror which none of us has been taught to see in its vastness or pity as it deserves.

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Sources on the fighting in Palestine against Israel. In general, CW for footage of battles, explosions, dead people, and so on:

Resources For Understanding The War

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.

Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Telegram Channels

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

Pro-Russian

https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR's former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR's forces. Russian language.

https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.

https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.

https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster's telegram channel.

https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.

https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.

https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine

Almost every Western media outlet.

https://discord.gg/projectowl ~ Pro-Ukrainian OSINT Discord.

https://t.me/ice_inii ~ Alleged Ukrainian account with a rather cynical take on the entire thing.

Germany will ban all Hamas-linked activities, Scholz says

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that anyone who glorifies the crimes of Palestinian militant group Hamas, uses its symbols, condones murder, calls for criminal acts or burns Israeli flags could be prosecuted in Germany.

Speaking in the Bundestag, the German parliament, Scholz vowed “zero tolerance” on antisemitism and called on German law enforcement agencies to hold anyone who does such things accountable “with all the means that our defensible constitutional state offers.”

On Iran’s influence over Hamas, the German chancellor said, “so far, we have no solid evidence that Iran has provided concrete and operational support for this cowardly attack by Hamas,” but added “it is clear to all of us that without Iranian support over the past several years, Hamas would not have been capable of these unprecedented attacks on Israeli territory”

The Israeli Air Force is low on guided munition, saving enough for a possible escalation in the north.

Seen here, at least two recent Israeli Air force posts display the use of 750lb M117 unguided bombs on F-16Cs.

"Israel's health minister ordered state hospitals not to treat captured terrorists": Saving "despicable" terrorists is not in line with Israel's mission.

"Moshe Arbel on Wednesday afternoon issued a directive to Israel's public health system to refuse to treat captured terrorists.” “In these difficult times, the public health system must focus entirely on treating victims of criminal massacres, IDF soldiers and preparing for the next war," Arbel said. "The task of securing and treating the damned and despicable terrorists within the public health system significantly harms this effort, and therefore, under my leadership, the public health system will not treat them." "The IDF or Shabak should be tasked with addressing this issue, and of course the Health Ministry is ready and willing to assist these bodies as needed."

On October 12, 2023, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) published a footage showing the moving and accumulation of troops and equipment at the Israeli-Lebanese border.

On the video, APCs and Merkava MBTs are seen being deployed at the border zone, specially on the hills

According to the IDF, "As part of the promotion of the readiness of the IDF forces in the Northern Command sector, reserve forces have been deployed in recent days" in the settlements near the border fence in the north.

The IDF says that "Its forces carry out various defense tasks in the settlements, which include patrols, ambushes and the deployment of roadblocks, in order to ensure the safety of the residents"

The statement ends with IDF Northern Commando will be reinforced this week with many additional forces in order to strengthen the command and control response and its readiness in the region

Seems like the number of attendees at the music festival has changed. There were 3000 attendees and 285 deaths.

At this point I absolutely believe these deaths were casualties caused by fighting with the IDF, not by intent to massacre civilians.

I disagree. We have already been the subject of at least two law enforcement-affiliated studies. Extremely shoddy, laughable studies, but we are under surveillance none the less. Especially now that the focus of discussion here has lingered on the activities of a group the US designates as terrorists.

The US has been making continuous moves towards internet censorship, collaborating closely with the major social media platforms, installing "former" state officials and/or state-affiliated thinktankers in positions of power. We have seen them use these powers throughout the George Floyd uprising, the Russia-Ukraine war, and now the conflict in Palestine. We should only expect their ability to manipulate social media to expand. We should also expect them to expand these operations beyond the established mega-platforms after the well of useful sources there is extinguished.

With the introduction of the Fediverse, we have seen an alternate model emerge. A model where small communities can establish themselves on "their own" infrastructure with trusted leadership. Truth of the matter is though, that the vast majority of this network is hosted on virtual machines in centralized locations. Some intermediate-sized websites might be located in a CoLo instead, but still centralized physically. A small handful might be served from under a mattress. I expect new legislation to pass in the coming years to enable systems like this to either be back-doored quietly, or shut down on grounds of national security, sedition, or terrorism. We probably have a good few more years left, but the more the empire loses their grip, the harder they will clamp down. If shit starts popping off in the US like it did in 2020 in the midst of an ever-accelerating "cold" war and we maintain our abolitionist position, they absolutely will cut the cord.

The focus right now may be on occupied Palestine, but with all the liberals and even the socdems braying for blood, the state will be pushing the limits of their "counterterrorism" powers to renewed heights. The way they've been handling the StopCopCity protesters is only a taste.

one is that word-count midwit who thinks counting the number of "violent" words on a social media site is useful, so if we quote some nazi's screed to laugh at it or criticize it, it counts towards us. Just absolute dogbrained "research"

A top-voted, front-page meme in r/chapotraphouse2_2_2, one of numerous offshoots of the extremist subreddit, mocks civic participation and cartoonishly glorifies murderous insurgency.
