Israel trying to pass the hospital bombing off as Palestine doing it is utterly disgusting and guarantees Netanyahu a spot in the deepest pit of Hell for all eternity, obviously, but do not forget that
a) the only reason why Westerners will believe it is because they want to believe it - they are not being brainwashed and this is not some masterful propaganda being weaved around us to turn kind-hearted people into monsters,
b) no Westerner opinions matter at all. In most Western countries there is no real anti-Israel option to vote for even if they did realize that Israel was a giant factory for crimes against humanity, and Westerners protesting against things in general almost never achieves anything (tens of millions protested for BLM in 2020 and not only did the situation not change, it got worse), and
c) the people whose opinions do matter (both the people in the region, and the leaders who aren't already Zionist compradors) already know that Israel is full of shit and that they just murdered nearly a thousand civilians in a single bomb attack.
It is despair-inducing to think that the genocidal Zionist entity is so brazenly, so smugly getting away with bullshitting this away into a cloud of confusion, as they release their metaphorical squid ink just like they did with the stupid babies story, but the propaganda and the media narrative that they are creating isn't what matters. It cannot address the fundamental contradictions ripping the country, the region, and the world apart any more than masterfully-applied makeup can fix a stab wound. It can merely obfuscate.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

What I don't completely understand is why would Israel bother lying about bombing those people? If they are ashamed of killing that many innocents they certainly don't show it with all the other hospital, mosque, and refugee bombings. The west isn't going to meaningfully get in their way either way. They can kill as many innocents as they wish, Europeans and more importantly, Americans do not care
It's a form of demoralization. You can see the effects of this demoralization even here in Hexbear. They do this in order to communicate, "We can make up a transparent lie with a shit-eating grin and there's nothing you can do about it." It's like pigs lie how someone committed suicide by landing on a bunch of bullets.
Good point- but it doesn't matter. Even if hexbears falter, or westerners believe every lie from CNN or Fox news, the Arab world knows the truth, and they are the only ones who can do anything about this anyway.
I thought I had been desensitized of obvious propaganda as a Hexbear veteran who followed every single megathread since the very first Ukraine war daily megathread, well, turns out those were just warmups.
Because this particular incident had more potential to be particularly damaging to public opinion. We can see this by the embassies stormed, the condemnation from some allies, the spike in social media postings. The sheer cruel brutality of this, bolstered by some of the most gruesome images yet, cuts through the carefully crafted apathy that normally plays to their favor.
Keeping control of the narrative is a big deal in modern warfare, and this was at a point of crisis for Israel and its allies.
Seems like they're doing JIT propaganda now. The hospital bombing didn't get the real time polling they wanted so they pivot on a case by case.
If they deny it, even nonsensically, it gives westerners space to manufacture a bunch of confusion, shrug and say "it's complicated", and continue not caring without feeling bad.
If they just admitted it, some westerners would have to admit to themselves that Israel is bad and that they would be bad for supporting it.
