This amazing clip form Yes Minister explains how "YouGov" get their poll results. [Full Edition] YouGov did a poll which shows a majority of people support 10 year jail sentances on twitter, YouGov's Relability. What YouGov Said: "Britons think facing up to ten years in jail for lying on a passenger locator form in order to avoid quarantine is... Too harsh - 30% About right - 51% Not harsh enough - 13%" Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/Mopy Twitter: https://twitter.com/The_Mopy #Shorts #YouGov
Even if polls didn't have this, there's also things like:
-people answer in a way that they feel like they should (well known example is how people respond to "what kind of coffee do you drink" vs what they actually drink)
-people may give you their opinion if you ask them that specific question but may not care about the issue in the grand scheme of things.
