      Oh yeah, Macedonians were of the Dorian cultural group (shared a lot with Spartans) that pretty much had regimented militarized homosexuality (i.e. you and a squad/group-mate sharing bunks is socially enforced/expected). It was pretty much a given assumption in society that men would have their wives but also have male lovers as well (different from the Roman stance on homosexuality only being acceptable for those "taking" and not "receiving", i.e. ussually non-consensual) and that these male lovers were commonly the men they trained and studied with.

      gayness as an identity is a modern concept the ancients didnt really focus on that they just kind of fucked whoever they wanted there was a lot less social stigma around all that

      Alexander was Macedonian, and even today there are fairer skinned Greeks. It's not inconceivable that he would be blonde but we honestly don't know.
