Fully 77 percent of senior ministry officials in 1957 were former members of Adolf Hitler's Nazi party, a higher proportion even than during the 1933-45 Third Reich, the study found.
From 1949 to 1973, 90 of the 170 leading lawyers and judges in the then-West German Justice Ministry had been members of the Nazi Party.
Of those 90 officials, 34 had been members of the Sturmabteilung (SA), Nazi Party paramilitaries who aided Hitler's rise and took part in Kristallnacht, a night of violence that is believed to have left 91 Jewish people dead.
One of my former coworkers married the daughter of one of nazi Wehrmacht generals. The dude literally was "rehabilitated" in whats basically an American citizenship class course then set free after he could name like 20 presidents and went on to become one of the high judges of West germany.
The NSDAP lost the war but won the peace. There was no ideological or political break between Nazi germany and post-war Nazi Germany, they're the same political entity with different stationary.
Holy shit the Business Insider article's first illustration is a Berlin Wall picture even if the article is about a completely different area. If anything the content is an argument for building that wall lmao. I couldn't even make this up, death to the kkkapitalist media
Reminder that there were just as many — in some cases more — nazis in west Germany's government after WW2 than during the third reich.
More Nazis in West Germany's justice department after WWII than during Third Reich
Nazis in post-WW2 Germany's government
Jesus. I knew it was bad, I didn’t know it was this bad
