Why can't every show just be a parade of awooga libertarian-alert hypersus with lmayo us-foreign-policy "nonpolitical" characteristics where not a single uncomfortable thought might reach the treat hogs' unbothered heads?

They babble about 1984 but what they want is the cheap lazy noisy thought-terminating spectacles from Fahrenheit 451.

grillman "Starship Troopers is my ideal Sci-Fi movie!"

'Yeah, it's a pretty incredible satire of fascist art and culture'

    grill-broke "It's WHAT?!"

One of the biggest chuds in my biological family refused to acknowledge the director's intended message and got into Heinlein's satire-free original book version on top of that.

Another person that used to be in my older tabletop group credited the movie as his primary motivation to join the US military... as an intelligence officer.

Just last week at the airport I saw some USMC jackboot thug with a “FRONT TOWARDS ENEMY KILL BAD GUYS” shirt on. All I can say is anyone other than a white guy would’ve been manhandled and dragged into a dark room for a 36 hour interrogation.

Sure is very healthy for society in general to allow these kinds of people to just roam around outside with the rest of us.

soypoint-1 "It's not that deep bro"
debord-tired "I agree. This is surface level, yet you still struggle with it"
