    Recently one of the defenses he used to distance himself from the investigation into his associates was that he was a cop and therefore knows how to follow the lawhahaha

          Not sure what it is now but at one point it was 20 years. So many live on Long Island so they gotta pay massive local taxes, property taxes, etc. After retiring they work large event and private security jobs like stadium securty. It used to be only cops. Don't know now. They also do no show city jobs which is one of the things Adams was handing out.

            A lot of them get jobs with the MTA police long enough to qualify for that pension and then retire with two pensions.

              Wow I didn't realize they would qualify for 2 pensions like that but that makes sense.
