Remember, EM POC only!
One year of Palestinian resistance...
I want liberation for all of the marginalized who still remain chained up by their oppressors.
That aside, of course, I'm hoping for some happy EM POC vibes this week!
I'm trying this new approach to my issues called the "thug that shit out" approach. Let's see how it goes!
So a couple unknown hexbears pissed them off going in on the settler project, so they ban these unknown bears and then make a super passive-aggressive 'ADMINISTRATION NOTE' post where they do the basic lemm.ee polemic against hexbear posters, positioning themselves as poor put-upon crackers by the anti-genocide poster horde while they do so. I pull up, and at the comment in this post that the mod of that shithole comm "supports Jewish people and Pales-people both" (don't laugh!), I'm out here like "yeah fuck y'all twice for both-sidesing a settler-colonial genocide btw, death to your society", they try and go in on me for being a 'genocide enthusiast' because it's 'against the right people' which I mean. If it's wrong to pray for the downfall of the West, both Amerikan and European alike, then I don't wanna be right-- but then they lock the post in order to have that last word.
Two days later, the post unlocks; and I come back to it like "what makes you think I will ever care about the life of a settler y'all are my opps" and that's about where all my posts got removed, I got banned, and they kept talking shit like the poor put-upon crackers they are. Last I knew, another brave poster went in there to spit on their western collaborator philosophies and caught themselves a ban for it too; so basically you're not welcome in their comm if you're not full-throated down for israeli war crimes
Damn, that's terrible. I just checked the Note post and, yeah, it's shitty. It's a shame, I love the aesthetics of their posts. There aren't too many art communities we can subscribe to so I hope we don't defederate but definitely shitty politics. Thanks for the explanation!
Alternatively, maybe defederating might be the impetus for us creating the art spaces we want to see?
Maybe, I mean we already have an art community but other than the beautiful posts by @HarryLime@hexbear.net I don't see too much going on.
Good point, I'll try to contribute later :o
