I'm considering attending a prerelease for the first time for foundations. I never buy packs typically, because they're poor value and because fuck WotC's treatment of their customers, I'm voting with my wallet. The prerelease event sounds really cool though! Still leaning towards not attending. mario-thumbs-up

Prereleases can be fun but they can also be awful. I had someone get up and "go to the bathroom" in the middle of a game in a pre-release only to go to the judge's table and write down that he won. I've also had someone threaten to stab me during a pre-release for playing an aggressive BR deck. I would still be playing magic if it weren't for its players who are, imo, the worst in the board gaming community.

A meta revolving around cheating in big threats + Progenitus in the pool should make for a genuinely miserable Sealed environment.

And Sealed is already miserable. Some prerelease events will hold drafting events as well, which are actually worth playing. Sealed still requires skill, but it's the most luck-based format by far and it's not even close.
