put all of your election posting here so it doesn't bother anyone else!
from @CoolerOpposide@hexbear.net:
For Agitprop purposes, I’m asking comrades to help aggregate any and all effortpost responses, critiques, or general thoughts that you have seen or written pertaining to yesterday’s U.S. election that you think have standalone value for discussion either online or IRL.
I made a post for that purpose here, and ideally it can be used not only for general discussion, but as a reference for well thought out responses in discussions about the election to save all of us some brainpower.
No shitposts please, as we’d like to highlight some comrades’ actual effort in constructing responses or analysis, but humor is 100% welcome to help make your point!
I'm worried that Kamala Harris might win the election
I'm worried the Capitalist Party will win the election.
I got bad news for you...
Yeah. Horrible candidate, horrible party, and—worst of all—a popular embrace and normalization of genocide.
I'm also worried about some shit locally. There are some pretty substantial measures on my ballot, both good (e.g. California's Measure 33 to repeal Costa Hopkins) and bad (bunch of regressive sales taxes and shit), and I have the sinking feeling everything is going to resolve to the worst possible outcome.
Would you mind sharing what you recommend for the different props? I'm voting right now (at home with a mail in ballot I get to drop off at a polling station in a few hours) and wouldn't mind your opinion. For California state wide, it seems almost everything is good except for 36. So far I've got YES on 3, 4, 5, and 6. YES on 32, 33, and 35. Big fucking NO on 36. I'm thinking it should be YES for 2 and 34 but I can see how potentially those could just be rich "administrators" (the capitalists who own private schools and medical facilities respectively) pocketing the proceeds.
Also yes, Kopmala can burn in hell. I'm voting Claudia of course (De La Cruz).
Sorry if this finds you late. Here is a voting guide for a NorCal county where some comrades have been organizing, and put this together. It includes recommendations about the state-wide propositions, so I found it useful. And I generally found I agreed with their analysis. They mostly agree with you, except check Prop 34, which they recomment NO on.

I did already put the ballot in the box but yes it looks like we're in complete agreement. I went with NO on 34 as I learned more about what it really was, partly thanks to another reply I got here. I still very much appreciate your response though and that guide does appear to be good and helpful. Maybe I can consult it on the next round of the electoralism circus, but more importantly if it's put together by some actual comrades who are organizing locally, that is worth looking into.
