At least medieval peasants were willing to play with the cards dealt them, these people are issued a modern deck of cards and willfully throw them in the trash.

If everyone tells you your fever is caused by ghosts living in your blood you're not being unreasonable to accept it. If everyone is telling you the sickness is caused by microbes you aren't being reasonable when you say "no, it's the 5G towers."

Fr. Mideval peasants weren't this stupid. No one had figured out fucking germ theory yet.

Medieval people get a bad rap. They were superstitious as shit and did plenty of dumb shit but in a way at least their ignorance was less conspiratorial. There is at least a grander unifying explanation of reality by saying "God did it." There's some philosophical bones under the skin even if it's kinda flimsy under intense scrutiny. They weren't booking transcontinental flights and posting videos on the internet and doing so much shit that requires modern technology while simultaneously rejecting huge swathes of that scientific knowledge in order to hock miracle cures and homeopathy. Like that's the part that bakes my noodle when it comes to these types of people. We split the atom. You really think the earth is flat? Nukes are real but germ theory isn't? Flight is possible but the birds aren't real? The way they pick and choose is so damn inconsistent and overall goofy.

Nukes actually poke an infinitesimal hole through the earth which unleashes the force of the firmament that holds up the flat earth for a fraction of a second, atoms are a greek hoax.
