Liberals on Lemmy are ridiculously fast to let fly all sorts of conspiracy theories if it means discrediting any trans people to the left of them. this is so off the wall, what can you even say? you can really feel the political culture of mainstream-ish liberal spaces regressing the last 10, especially 5 years. academically i know why it happens but it's still kinda mind boggling to witness first hand
