IMO any group that is "dirtbag left" quickly either becomes only dirtbag, or only left.
it's literally the pipeline that everyone talks about, many of us needed the "dirtbag left" as an entry point (or a middle point) and moved through it to something else, which is the point. There isn't and shouldn't be an inherent appeal to keeping the aesthetic around in the long term, these things come and go organically.
We have to keep pipelining people left somehow. If it's still useful in pipelining people left we can't be too quick to dismiss it.
