How do these techbro ignorati think the Hutts maintained the "some kind of 'law and consequences'" they had? BY HAVING MORE SHIPS TO RAM. KEEP SPENDING ON PIXELS AND MODELS, PAYPIG, IT'S ALL YOU AND YOURS ARE GOOD FOR.

This vision of a law and order Tatooine reminds me of The Book of Boba Fett, where the role of a crime lord involves, uhhh, aimlessly walking around in the open.

FTW the inherently great big spenders are ganked in their expensive flying techbro yachts

Even funnier if those gankings happen via the most bargain-bin starter ships possible

Oh that's how the nerds are protecting their 'investments'

If I ever heard a good idea to avoid that shit like the plague, that one's it

What estimated comical amount are we talking about?

I'll never give SC a cent, but if it's gonna be F2P on release (I have no idea if this is the plan or not) I think there's a potentially incredible time getting 20-30 f2p starter ships hunting whales.

Those numbers have me at least interested enough to see what 20-30 people could feasibly do in an hour or so around its full release.

At minimum hopefully it's something that Jauwn would consider rallying his community to do for some crypto-adjacent game dunking

The people asking for sexual assault in lawless zones are now mad that they can be killed there?

Has anyone told them that the age of consent doesn't exist in the lawless zone? That should shut them up.

If there's little interesting then there's no reason to go there except to player kill. PKers don't want to fight other PKers, they want easy targets, so the PKers won't have any reason to go there either.

I don't generally like PKing as a mechanic in MMOs anyway, but there are ways to implement it that aren't complete shit. Like, imagine if this system held some kind of rare and valuable mineral deposits. Make it clear that these minerals are available but that there's no security in this system. This presents a dilemma to regular players: they can try to get some of those tasty rocks, but to do so they have to go into a dangerous environment. Opting out is as simple as not going there. Bam, you've now incorporated PvP into your game in an interesting way that doesn't completely destroy the fun of anyone who isn't a PKer.

Fuck, this is like game design 101.
