Western socialists are much more utopian than Marxist, even many of the people who claim they are Marxist. It honestly reminds me of my bad habit off daydreaming where I think of how cool it would be if I did something and then never do it because I already got the satisfaction out of daydreaming about it.

Somewhat related: I find the aestheticisation of sex in the online left and the prominence of it as an issue among some people extremely cringe. And in case anyone is confused, I don't mean like people of any gender or sexual orientation being able to live there life like any cishet person, nor am I talking about sex workers, those are very important material issue. I mean shit like :hammer-and-vibe:. There are people who are homeless and don't have healthcare or food, and as a result I'm highly suspicious of the portion of the online left who seem predominantly concerned with how socialism will affect their polycule's "play time". They remind me of hippies.
