I know it's a joke, but I think this is truly why people like Kissinger will never die. I think he's a shithead, but I think he does genuinely want to usher in the liberal era of "peace". He's dying watching his entire life work start to fall apart, all the utilitarian "sacrifices" he made over the years have been massive failures. He can't relax enough to ever let himself die because he's never going to be happy with what he's left behind.

Why would the grim reaper kill his best customer?

Good people die earlier because they're okay with dying earlier. My grandma died in her sleep at 57, the night her and my grandpa started planning out their retirement vacation. It was heartbreaking, but eventually I realized that she probably fell asleep that more peacefully than she ever had that night. She wanted to do more, but she was happy with what she had done with her life and how her loved ones would remember her. Kissinger will never have that peace, he will never be comfortable to let go
