      That's kind of the point though. For the most part leftists aren't aren't trying to argue that China is good, or that there is no mistreatment of the Uyghur population. Just that the current situation doesn't match the rhetoric, which seems to be designed to justify an open conflict with China.

          Trains, increasing life expectancy, near complete elimination of poverty in under 20 years, state control of most industry of necessity and oversight of luxury/tech industry, a reaction to thousands of deaths after prolonged bombing campaigns not resulting in the complete destruction of an entire nation and millions dead?

          Yeah, the order of magnitude of my problems with China barely even registers compared to a normal day of operations in the USA.
