I think a lot about how some nazi units destroyed their records well before they were losing the war. I think about how a group who wished to be known for genociding many races did some things they wanted to have kept hidden. I also think about operation snow white, which is when Scientology infiltrated the FBI so that they could destroy the records the FBI had on them. I wonder what they did that was so bad that it was better for the FBI to have a grudge against them for infiltrating them rather than have a record of whatever they did. I think about how it is better for the entire world to know that powerful world leaders went to Epstein's island and had him killed while covering it up rather than let him give any kind of testimony. I'm still shocked every time I learn about some new horror, but at this point I think it is always infinitely worse than I could possibly imagine. There's a perpetual image of JFK saying "if only you knew how bad it really is" burned into the back of my eyelids.
