they're all snakes.
Sinema is so weird. I read she had the most conservative voting record among AZ Dems by a long shot. And she'll take conservative positions even when there's no real benefit to it for her. But then she'll talk like she's much more liberal (as opposed to Manchin, who doesn't even pretend to be anything other than a centrist Dem).
My hunch is that she has a very large discrepancy between how smart she thinks she is and how smart she actually is.
I remember back when she was running that legal podcast with the nerdy bowtie guy with the fake accent (nathan something?) and briahna joy gray was all about how she was an anarchist or something like that. Current Affairs, that's what it was called.
I don't remember if she was on whatever episode my brain thinks it remembers, it's been years since I listened to it. I just remember an impression of something like hope surrounding her
Sometimes I feel like we've built of a labor union mythology and it's useful sometimes, but there also should probably be an awareness that the dem labor relationship people are trying to revive from the pre-clinton and nafta days had unions backing a lot of shitty dems from the more conservative wing of the party. If we are going to do that specific strategy then Sinema is going to be the norm and not the exception.
