To be fair, most of the people shot in this movie are cops. The rest are "swarm people" which has a whole other thing going on there. But that coffee shop mini-finale was definitely Neo and friends mowing down FBI agents.

I think there is a point to be made here because I'm pretty sure the general understanding before release was that Keanu was playing Keanu Reeves: Star of the Matrix Trilogy in this new film. Even in the movie, they keep showing old Matrix movie clips and now we're supposed to assume they're cut-scenes, I guess? The new Unreal engine did that big advertisement for the movie, so I guess one of the stipulations of getting their tech involved to make the effects look great was changing the concept from a movie to a video game?
I cannot recommend this game enough. I didn't play it for way too long because something about the trailers made me think it was way less open world than it is. It's Myst with a manually controlled spaceship and full 3D access to an entire solar system, and such a peaceful and hopeful ending.
You can tell he already has an absolutely awful blog about how people just need to work harder and make a budget, and 5 or 6 youtube videos about his favorite budget meals and how making youtube videos creates constant income.
Definitely separating your work and home. Best case is a completely different locations for each, worst case you can change up the lighting and/or go to a different corner of your living space. Try to find a place other than the crowded library or other typical big study spaces. "Insert major here" social areas are good, typically the mood matches the assignments and its not a bad thing for somebody in the same class to see what you're doing to come up and see if you want to work together. Pick two or three days to be your two-ish hour work periods, and frame them around food or something else you can trick your brain with. When you get there, eat a snack you like and start working. After your work time, go take lunch or dinner or whatever
Yeah but have you considered the fact that apparently the movie The Matrix exists in this universe and stars Thomas Anderson/Neo?
Oh my god the magic and intrigue that the internet held back then will never, ever be matched. I was gonna say someone should make a movie about it, but I guess the Matrix has that covered.
I was watching the RLM guys discussing Hackers (1995) and they were talking about how adorable it was watching 90s era sci-fi movies try to explain the internet and imagine what it would become. I haven't watch Jonny Mnemonic in years but I imagine it fits very nicely into that.
You could start working your way through this blog post someone posted here forever ago: https://strohltopia.com/2017/09/01/55-nicolas-cage-movies-ranked-by-cage-factor/
I was gonna ask if there are any states that haven't had any, and it looks like both Alaska and Hawaii have somehow skirted this phenomena. Any mainland ones I missed?
I am extremely weirded out by this and want to try it very much.
Lockpicking is fun. I worked nights at a plant being commissioned so I had tons of time to wander the facility alone and find random locks to pick. In my experience there are two kinds of locks: Zero skill and everything else. It's surprising how many times you'll run into a lock that can be opened in seconds with a simple rake attack. It's also surprising how many locks just fall apart when you try to pick them. Like, the core just falls out when you dig a little too deep and dislodge whatever is retaining it. It also gives you something to do with your hands while watching a movie or whatever. Also people love talking with you about it and you can shut them up for at least half an hour if you give them your kit and a lock to play with.
We just need to Dyson Sphere Program this shit and built a gigantic land bridge along the equator and fill it with solar panels.
I'm not all that good at presidential history but I've been kinda soft for LBJ based on some background shit I've picked up and his quote during the Watts riots: "What did you expect? I don’t know why we’re surprised. When you put your foot on a man’s neck and hold him down for 300 years, and then you let him up, what’s he going to do? He’s going to knock your block off.” Then again he did start federally backed student loans which in hindsight was not a great move, not to mention everything Vietnam.
My go-to marinade base nowadays. Also mixes up real nice into a sweet and spicy dipping sauce
Yeah, I watched it earlier and you definitely should at least read the Wikipedia summaries or something like that. Especially to semi understand the one scene where a random French guy appears and starts yelling at everybody about how shit movies are these days in the middle of a massive fight. It definitely builds on the trilogy.
